Delhi Metro Enhances Services for Chhath Puja and Pollution Control
The Delhi Metro is making it easier for people to travel for a special holiday called Chhath Puja.
They are starting the trains earlier in the morning, from 5:15 AM, for a few days.
They are also adding more train trips during the week, not just for the holiday, but also to help reduce air pollution in the city.
The metro company is working hard to keep construction sites clean by watering them, washing trucks, and using special anti-smog machines.
This is all part of a plan to make the air cleaner in Delhi.
Delhi Metro commenced early operations from 5:15 AM between October 30 and November 3 to assist Chhath Puja travelers.
Additional train trips have been initiated from 5:15 AM at New Delhi and Anand Vihar Railway stations.
Forty extra train trips are being run on weekdays to combat rising pollution levels, following GRAP-II guidelines.
DMRC is actively implementing anti-pollution measures at its construction sites, including water sprinkling and using anti-smog guns.
DMRC's Managing Director inspected construction sites to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
