SOP to Ensure Smooth Rath Yatra Rituals
The people in charge of the Jagannath Temple are making new rules for a big parade called Rath Yatra.
This is because one time, during the parade, the statue of a god named Balabhadra was accidentally dropped.
To prevent this from happening again, they're creating a special plan.
They will have separate teams for each chariot, and a government person will watch over them.
They're also stopping people from using cell phones on the chariots.
The main goal is to make sure the parade goes smoothly and safely, especially during the Pahandi ritual where the idols are moved.
SJTA to create a standard operating procedure (SOP) for smooth Pahandi ritual execution.
The decision follows an incident where Lord Balabhadra's idol slipped during transfer.
Separate Pahandi teams will be formed for each chariot, overseen by government officials.
Last year's arrangements had specified personnel limits, which were exceeded.
Mobile phones will be banned on chariots during this year's Rath Yatra.
