Gadag Students’ Safety Innovations Selected for INSPIRE Awards
Two students in Gadag made inventions to help keep people safe.
Aakash Patil and Daval Saab are in Class IX.
One invention uses sensors to look for gases that could mean school food has spoiled.
The other watches for children or pedestrians crossing near a school.
When someone is detected, it is designed to give a red signal and raise a speed breaker so vehicles slow down.
The speed breaker returns to its normal position when no pedestrian is detected.
Both projects were chosen for the Union Government’s INSPIRE Awards competition.
Teachers and education officials praised the students’ ideas.
Two Class IX students at PM Shri Government Higher Primary School in Gadag developed technology models focused on food and road safety.
Aakash Patil and Daval Saab’s projects were selected for the Union Government’s INSPIRE Awards competition.
