Delhi Launches Digital Health System for Hospitals
Delhi is making it easier to manage health records with a new computer system called NextGen HIMS.
It's like giving all government hospitals a digital brain to store patient information instead of using paper.
This means doctors can access your health history quickly, no matter which hospital you go to.
The system will also connect to a national health record system.
The new system includes tools for appointments, managing records, and more.
This initiative was planned a while back and faced some delays, but now, it's becoming a reality, with digital modules and various centers for citizens' convenience.
It will also reduce the cost of medicines.
Delhi launches NextGen Hospital Information Management System (HIMS) for paperless healthcare.
The HIMS includes 20 digital modules, such as registration, electronic medical records, and hospital dashboards.
The project, first announced in 2018, aims to digitize health records and integrate with Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission.
Training for OPD and IPD modules has been completed, and over 93 lakh ABHA IDs have been generated.
The CM will also inaugurate Ayushman Arogya Mandirs and Jan Aushadhi Kendras online.
