Trump Praises Modi, Predicts Trade Deal
Donald Trump, the President of the United States, was at a big meeting in Davos, Switzerland.
He talked to a news group called Moneycontrol and said he really respects Narendra Modi, who is the Prime Minister of India.
He called Modi a fantastic man and his friend.
Trump also said that the United States and India are going to make a good trade deal together.
This means they will probably start trading more things between the two countries in a way that benefits both.
However, there are some disagreements.
The US wants India to stop buying oil from Russia, but India says it makes its own decisions based on what's best for the country.
Trump also talked about the war between Russia and Ukraine.
He said both countries want to make peace, and he is trying to help them reach a deal.
Donald Trump praised Narendra Modi, calling him a fantastic man and his friend.
Trump predicted a good trade deal between the US and India, aiming to double trade to USD 500 billion by 2030.
The statement was made exclusively to Moneycontrol in response to a question about the India-US trade agreement.
Trump was in Davos to attend the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum.
Trump also discussed the Russia-Ukraine conflict, stating that both countries want to make a deal and efforts were 'reasonably close.'
