Telangana Gurukul Schools to Introduce Student-Managed Mess System
Telangana Gurukul Schools are giving students in grades 8-11 new roles to manage their messes.
Each month, students will be diet managers, mess monitors, or hygiene monitors.
Diet managers handle food deliveries and quality checks.
Mess monitors check staff and cleanliness, while hygiene monitors oversee kitchen and waste management.
This program, starting in 2025-26, aims to teach leadership and real-world skills, with students spending about an hour a day on their duties, exempting them from academic and extracurriculars during their scheduled duties.
