Karnataka Considers Tumakuru for Second Airport

Karnataka is thinking about building a second international airport near Tumakuru.

The Deputy Chief Minister, G Parameshwara, wants it there because it would help many districts and connect well with the existing airport.

However, the BJP leader, B Y Vijayendra, thinks it should be near Kanakapura for better access.

The government will decide based on recommendations from a technical committee.

The current airport is very busy, so a second one is needed to help with the crowd.

The Chief Minister, D K Shivakumar, says no specific site has been chosen yet.
