MP Government Proposes Bill to Develop Metro Regions
Imagine the government wants to make Bhopal and Indore bigger and better cities.
They've created a new plan!
They'll form special groups to plan how to build things, like roads and buildings.
If they need land for these projects, they'll follow fair rules to get it.
The government will also provide money to help with the construction.
This new plan should help make the cities grow in an organized way, so they don't become too crowded or have problems with traffic and services.
Madhya Pradesh government introduced a bill to develop Bhopal and Indore as metropolitan cities.
The bill proposes a Metropolitan Region, Planning Committee, and Development Authority (MRDA).
Land acquisition will follow the Right to Fair Compensation Act of 2013.
The Chief Minister will head the MRDA, with other ministers serving as vice-chairmen.
A Metropolitan Development Fund will be set up with an initial corpus of Rs 200 crore, plus Rs 100 crore for MRDA projects.
