Assam Unveils Rs 50,000-Crore Roadmap for Development by 2047

The Assam government wants to spend Rs 50,000 crore on development projects.

The plan is part of its goal to build a more developed Assam by 2047.

Money would support schools, colleges, universities, hospitals, Anganwadi centres, roads, power projects and stadiums.

The government also wants fewer students to leave school early.

It plans to improve healthcare by creating medical colleges and upgrading 4,000 health sub-centres.

New land banks could make it easier for industries to set up in Assam.

Damaged flood embankments would also be repaired or rebuilt.

A month-long campaign will let people join activities and access government services through local camps.
