Telangana Considers ₹86 Crore Haj House at Mamidipalli

The Telangana government is thinking about building a new Haj House for pilgrims.

It may cost about ₹86 crore.

The proposed site is in Mamidipalli, on roughly two acres of Waqf land.

The plan follows an announcement made by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy in May 2025.

Government officials visited Bengaluru to learn how its Haj House works.

Akbaruddin Owaisi said pilgrims face problems at the current Nampally facility.

Minister Mohammed Azharuddin said lawmakers from the minority community would be consulted.

Owaisi also asked the government to create a new Waqf Board.

The deputy chief minister said a stakeholder meeting would be held to address the issue.
