SARAS Expo Showcases Rural Artisans' Products in Guntur
A big fair called SARAS is happening in Guntur from January 3 to January 15.
Women from self-help groups from Andhra Pradesh and other states are showing and selling their handmade products like clothes, food, and decorations.
There will be 250 stalls with different items.
The fair is organized to help these women earn more money and make their lives better.
The local officials are making sure everything goes smoothly.
SARAS Exhibition is being held in Guntur from January 3 to January 15.
600 women from Self-Help Groups (SHGs) from Andhra Pradesh and other states are participating.
250 stalls will showcase and sell products like handlooms, handicrafts, sarees, shawls, carpets, bedsheets, bamboo, metal and glass products, traditional and organic food items, ornaments, and home décor items.
The exhibition is organized by the Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty and the Guntur District Rural Development Agency.
The main objective is to provide market opportunities for SHG women's products and enhance their income sources.
