High Court Criticises Police Over Missing Guntur Girl Case

High Court Criticises Police Over Missing Guntur Girl Case

A 15-year-old girl from Guntur went missing after leaving home on June 9.

Her father reported the disappearance to police the next day.

Investigators found CCTV showing her leaving on a motorbike with a 28-year-old man.

The Andhra Pradesh High Court criticised police because the girl had not been found for nearly three months.

The court also questioned whether creating a special investigation team would really help.

Police followed CCTV and lodge records through several places in India.

They eventually traced the pair to Secunderabad near Hyderabad.

Police say the man changed phones and social media accounts to avoid being found.

The case is now being investigated as a kidnapping, and police say they expect to arrest him soon.
