US to Reduce Tariffs on Most Indian Goods
Starting from July 24, 2026, most Indian goods exported to the US will face lower tariffs.
Around 92% of India's $87.2 billion exports will only be subject to normal WTO-compatible tariffs, reducing duties by 10 percentage points.
This change comes after the expiry of a temporary 10% surcharge imposed by the US.
However, certain goods like steel, aluminium, and automobiles will still face higher tariffs.
There is also uncertainty about potential new tariffs from ongoing US investigations.
