BRO Constructs World's Highest Pass, Boosts Ladakh Connectivity
The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) is building a very high road in Ladakh, a place that's hard to live in because of the weather.
They are also building tunnels to help people get in and out of Ladakh all year long.
This is good for the military, who need to move things, and also helps people in villages get what they need.
The BRO is using new ways to build, like special arch tunnels that are like pre-built bridges put together, so they can work even when it's tough to build.
BRO is constructing the world's highest motorable pass at 19,400 feet in Ladakh.
The new Mig La Pass is on the Likaru-Mig La-Fukche road, near the Line of Actual Control.
Several all-weather tunnels are being built to ensure year-round access to Ladakh.
New construction techniques, like Arch Tunnel Technology, are being used.
These projects aim to enhance strategic infrastructure and open isolated villages.
