Southampton Boss Charged Over Spying Scandal

Southampton Boss Charged Over Spying Scandal

Tonda Eckert, the manager of Southampton, has been charged by the Football Association for spying on other teams' training sessions.

This happened between December 2025 and May 2026.

Southampton was caught spying on Middlesbrough, Ipswich, and Oxford.

Because of this, they were kicked out of the Championship play-off final and lost a lot of money.

The FA says Eckert did something wrong and brought the game into disrepute.

Southampton says they will cooperate with the FA and support Eckert.

Eckert has accepted responsibility for the spying.

The next match for Southampton is on August 8.
