BJP leader Bhimale seeks probe into illegal Pune hill development
Pune is a big city in India with many green hills.
Some people were digging on these hills and building things without permission.
This is called illegal development.
A leader named Shrinath Bhimale noticed this and got worried.
He asked the city government to check what was happening.
He also asked the Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, to help protect the hills.
He wants all building work on the hills to stop until the checking is done.
He wants experts like geologists and environmental scientists to visit the places.
These experts will study water flow, landslide risk, and harm to nature.
A good plan will be made using maps to keep the hills safe for everyone.
PMC Standing Committee Chairman Shrinath Bhimale sought an immediate inquiry into excavation and illegal development on Pune's hills and at Biodiversity Park.
He requested Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to take steps to protect the city's hills.
Bhimale said construction work on the hills should be suspended until the investigation is completed.
He called for a separate protection and development plan for all hills in the city, mapped using GIS.
A joint team of the municipal corporation, district administration, geologist and environmental experts was instructed to inspect sites including Gangadham Chowk, Solitaire Business Hub (Bibvewadi), Bavdhan, Market Yard and Katraj.
