Agnikul Cosmos Builds 3D-Printed Rocket Engine, Gets US Patent
An Indian company named Agnikul Cosmos has made a big step in space travel.
They've built a very large rocket engine using a 3D printer, and it's all one piece, like magic!
This engine is special because it doesn't have any joints or welds, which is a new thing in rocket design.
The company shared this news on their social media on August 6, 2025.
Also, they got a patent in the US for their cool design.
Agnikul Cosmos started back in 2017, and they've been working hard to make this happen, including testing their first 3D-printed engine, Agnilet in 2022.
Agnikul Cosmos, an Indian space startup, developed the world's largest single-piece 3D-printed rocket engine.
The engine is made of Inconel and was printed without welds or fasteners.
Agnikul Cosmos announced the milestone on August 6, 2025, via social media.
The company has also received a US patent for the engine's design and manufacturing.
Agnikul's journey began in 2017 and they successfully test-fired their first 3D-printed engine, the Agnilet, in 2022.
