Mumbai Water Stock Climbs to 93.80%, Three Reservoirs Full

Mumbai is a big city in India that gets its water from seven lakes.

The lakes are like giant bathtubs that store rainwater.

This year, the rain has been falling steadily, so the lakes are very full.

As of August 18, 2026, the lakes together are 93.80% full.

That is more water than the city had on the same day in the past two years.

Three of the lakes, Modak Sagar, Vehar and Tulsi, are completely full.

A few other lakes are almost full too.

Some lakes even started overflowing in July.

This is good news because it means Mumbai has plenty of water stored for the city.

The people who manage the water are happy with the strong supply.
