White House Launches Trump TV Amid Escalating Press Access Fight
The White House created a new internet video channel called Trump TV.
It runs all day and night and shows speeches, announcements and other videos about President Donald Trump and his administration.
The first videos included earlier public appearances and Trump’s inauguration.
At the same time, CNN, Politico and MS NOW lost access to the White House.
The three organizations sued the administration and asked a court to restore that access.
Several major television networks also stopped sharing a joint video feed of presidential events.
The White House says news organizations may still publish stories but do not automatically have access to White House facilities.
The news organizations say the government should not punish them for how they report.
A court is expected to consider their request during the dispute.
The White House launched Trump TV, a 24/7 stream featuring Donald Trump’s speeches, administration announcements and other presidential content.
The service initially showed footage including Trump’s Mount Rushmore address and his 2025 inauguration.
CNN, Politico and MS NOW sued after their journalists’ White House access and credentials were revoked.
ABC News, CBS News, Fox News, NBC News and CNN suspended shared presidential television-pool coverage after CNN was barred from its assignment.
The White House says publication rights do not guarantee access, while the news organizations argue the government cannot exclude journalists because of their reporting.

Access rules
White House Position
The White House says the First Amendment protects the media’s ability to publish but does not automatically guarantee access to White House grounds, the briefing room or the presidential press pool.
News Organizations’ Position
CNN, Politico and MS NOW argue that the government should not determine which journalists receive access based on their reporting.

Trump says the outlets have an obligation to report fairly and defended restricting organizations he accused of publishing fake news.

The organizations say their credentials were revoked without notice or process because the administration objected to their reporting.
