Shiv Sagar Praises Ramayana Trailer, Questions Ranbir Kapoor’s Casting
A famous Indian TV series about the Ramayana is being made into a big movie.
Shiv Sagar, the grandson of the original creator, liked the new trailer and said the special effects look great.
He liked the actors Yash and Sai Pallavi because they come from South India and know the story well.
But he is not sure about Ranbir Kapoor playing Lord Rama because of a previous movie he did.
Ranbir says anyone could play the role if they understand the story.
The movie will come out during the Diwali festival in 2026, and a second part will be released in 2027.
Shiv Sagar praised the Ramayana trailer’s improved VFX and character reveals.
He commended Yash as Ravana and Sai Pallavi as Sita, citing their South Indian background.
Shiv expressed reservations about Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, citing his ‘Animal’ baggage.
The film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, will release Part One during Diwali 2026, with a sequel in 2027.
Ranbir Kapoor defended his casting, saying no single actor is the ‘right’ choice for Lord Rama.
