CGSI to Sue IndiGo Over Flight Cancellations
The Consumer Guidance Society of India (CGSI) is planning to sue IndiGo, India's largest airline, because of many flight cancellations that happened in December 2025.
Over 4,500 flights were cancelled, which left many passengers stranded.
IndiGo gave back some money and offered vouchers worth Rs 10,000, but CGSI thinks this is not enough.
They want IndiGo to pay much more to the passengers.
CGSI is asking passengers who were affected to come forward and claim compensation.
They need at least 200 claims before they can file the lawsuit.
Passengers can submit their claims online or through other channels.
CGSI plans to file a class action lawsuit against IndiGo for mass flight cancellations in December 2025.
IndiGo cancelled over 4,500 flights, affecting hundreds of thousands of passengers.
IndiGo offered refunds and Rs 10,000 vouchers, but CGSI deems this inadequate.
CGSI seeks five times the airfares plus other expenses for affected passengers.
Passengers can submit claims online or through other channels, with at least 200 needed before filing the lawsuit.
