Delhi Police to Mark Accident Zones on Google Maps
The Delhi Traffic Police is working with Google Maps to make Delhi roads safer.
They will mark areas with many accidents, called black spots, on the map so you can see them.
If you get close, you'll get a warning.
They'll start with information from 2024 and update as needed.
The police will also team up with road crews to fix these problem spots.
This should help drivers be more careful and prevent accidents.
Delhi Traffic Police will mark black spots on Google Maps to alert commuters of accident-prone zones.
The initiative will use 2024 black spot data initially, if launched in 2025.
In 2024, 111 black spots were identified, leading to 1,132 accidents and 483 fatalities.
By July 2025, an additional 25 black spots were identified, resulting in 176 accidents and 88 fatalities.
Efforts include marking locations, improving signage, and coordinating with road agencies.
