Indian Markets Consolidate After Record Highs
The Indian stock market, which is like a big shopping mall for buying and selling pieces of companies, reached its highest points ever on Thursday.
The Sensex and Nifty, which are like report cards for the market, went up to new highs but then came down a bit on Friday.
This happened because people in India are putting a lot of money into the market, while people from other countries are selling some of their shares.
However, not all parts of the market did well, and some smaller companies didn't do as well as the big ones.
People are now waiting to see what happens with the country's economic growth and other important events that might affect the market.
Some experts think big companies will keep doing well, while others think the market might be a bit unstable for a short time.
The Indian currency, the rupee, also got a little weaker against the US dollar.
The price of oil and other important things like gold and silver also changed a bit.
Everyone is watching to see what happens next.
Sensex hit a record high of 86,055.86, closing at 85,720.38, up 110.87 points.
