114 Nepalese Nationals Return Home After China Border Evacuation

A major flood disaster stranded many Nepalese people in China.

China helped 114 of them cross into Nepal through the Tatopani border.

Nepal will take them to Kathmandu and then help them reach their homes.

More than 2,500 other stranded people have already returned.

Some came by road, while others traveled by air.

However, about 1,400 people are still waiting in Kerung town in Tibet.

The floods began after an ice-rock avalanche near the Nepal-Tibet border on August 26.

Nepal says 1,259 people have died and 5,083 are still missing.
