Viral Auto Video Surfaces Amid Mumbai Marathi Language Checks

Viral Auto Video Surfaces Amid Mumbai Marathi Language Checks

A video online shows several men trying to push an autorickshaw into a train.

Someone who shared it said the men were trying to leave Maharashtra after a Marathi-language inspection.

However, the video itself does not prove that explanation is true.

Officials recently checked taxi and autorickshaw drivers in Mumbai.

They wanted to see whether drivers had practical knowledge of Marathi.

Out of 1,430 drivers checked, 422 received notices.

The notices do not immediately cancel or suspend their badges.

Drivers have one month to learn Marathi and respond to the notices.

The video’s authenticity and meaning could not be independently confirmed by FPJ.
