Kerala Minister Says Operation Toofan Will Remain Free of Politics
Kerala is running an anti-drug campaign called Operation Toofan.
Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala said the campaign will not favor any political party.
He said police will treat everyone the same, even if someone is close to him.
Youth Congress, Youth League and DYFI members have been arrested in drug cases.
The minister said nobody will be allowed to interfere with police action.
He said the campaign is meant to protect young people.
He credited public support for changes seen during the first 76 days.
Separately, the Enforcement Directorate is investigating payments involving CMRL and Exalogic Solutions.
Chennithala said that matter should be handled according to the law.
