Families Receive Bodies of Palestinians Recovered From Gaza Rubble

About 100 Palestinians who died during the war were brought back to their families in Gaza City.

Rescue workers found many of the bodies under houses that had collapsed.

The bodies were placed near a mosque so relatives could look for loved ones.

Maryam al-Balawi found her husband and three children after waiting for about a year.

She said only one of her daughters is still alive.

Her surviving daughter misses her father and cries for him every day.

Workers are still searching through many destroyed buildings.

They have only a small number of old machines to help them.

Heavy equipment has also been difficult to bring into Gaza.
