India and Switzerland Strengthen Long-Term Science Partnership

India and Switzerland want to work together more closely on science and technology.

Their representatives met in New Delhi on October 6, 2026.

They discussed areas including biotechnology, vaccines, space, quantum technology and research under the sea.

They also talked about how artificial intelligence can help in many fields.

Two cooperation arrangements between Swiss and Indian research institutions have been finalised.

Switzerland has set aside another CHF 45 million for the partnership.

Its president said he hopes India will make a corresponding commitment.
