UPI Transactions in India Surge to Record High in August

UPI, a system for digital payments in India, had a record-breaking month!

Over 20 billion payments were made in August, totaling almost Rs 25 lakh crore.

This is a big increase from July and shows that more and more people are using UPI.

On a single day, UPI even handled over 700 million transactions.

Digital payments are growing much faster than cash use, indicating a shift in how people pay for things.

Maharashtra led in digital payments, followed by Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh.
