Supreme Court Weighs Limits on Judge's Power Against Trump

Imagine the President makes a rule, but a judge in one part of the country says the rule can't be used everywhere.

The Supreme Court is now deciding if judges can do that.

This started because Donald Trump tried to change who is a U.S. citizen, but other judges blocked his idea.

Trump thinks judges shouldn't have so much power.

The court will also consider if it is fair that children born in one state are citizens, while children born in another state are not.

Some worry judges might be chosen to agree with a certain point of view.

The Supreme Court has to decide if a president's orders can be stopped by a judge for the whole country.
