YSRC Leaders Resign After Nellimarla Coordinator’s Dismissal
Several local leaders have left the YSRC party in Nellimarla and Cheepuripalli.
They resigned after the party suspended and dismissed Baddukonda Appala Naidu.
The party said he had worked against it.
Appala Naidu said he was suspended because he is related to Majji Srinivasa Rao, who had left the party and joined Telugu Desam.
He asked whether Botsa Satyanarayana would also be suspended because he is Rao’s uncle.
Five former ZPTCs had already resigned about two weeks earlier.
Some sarpanches also resigned on Saturday.
Several grassroots YSRC leaders from 13 villages in Nellimarla and Cheepuripalli mandals resigned.
The resignations followed the suspension and dismissal of Baddukonda Appala Naidu, the party’s Nellimarla Assembly constituency coordinator.
The YSRC accused Appala Naidu of anti-party activities.
Appala Naidu said Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy suspended him because he is related by marriage to Majji Srinivasa Rao, who left the party for Telugu Desam.
