Avengers: Endgame Encore Re-Release Sparks Debate Over Doomsday Teaser
Avengers: Endgame is coming back to movie theaters in 2026.
The new version will reportedly include extra footage connected to Avengers: Doomsday.
It may also have a special introduction and a new scene after the credits.
Some fans may want to watch it because they enjoy seeing the movie on a big screen.
Other fans think Marvel should release the new material online instead.
They do not want to pay again for a movie they already own or have watched many times.
The re-release could help Disney earn more money while advertising the next Avengers movie.
Whether fans like the plan may depend on how important the new footage turns out to be.
Avengers: Endgame returns to cinemas on September 25, 2026, as Avengers: Endgame Encore.
The re-release reportedly includes a Doomsday introduction, unseen footage and a new post-credits scene.
The added material is intended to build anticipation for the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday film.
Critics argue Marvel may be making fans buy another ticket to access material that could be released online.
Supporters say a premium-format theatrical screening and meaningful new footage could justify the return.

Marvel may be using the Doomsday material as a theatrical paywall, requiring fans to buy another ticket for information that could be released online.
Supporters of the re-release
A theatrical release can provide a large-screen experience and may be worthwhile if the footage offers substantial new information.
Value of revisiting Endgame
Critics of the re-release
Fans who have already watched or purchased Endgame repeatedly may see little value in paying for the familiar 185-minute film again.
Supporters of the re-release
Endgame remains a major cinematic spectacle, and premium screenings such as IMAX offer an experience that home viewing cannot fully replicate.
