TGHRC Addresses MEO Staff Salary Discrepancy
Some workers in Mandal Education Offices (MEO) in Telangana are not being paid the correct salary.
They should get Rs.
15,600 per month, but they are only getting Rs.
11,050.
The Telangana Human Rights Commission (TGHRC) is looking into this issue.
They want a detailed report from the education department to understand why this is happening and to make sure the workers get the right amount of money.
The commission is concerned because these workers have been doing their jobs for a long time and should be treated fairly.
MEO staff in Telangana are being paid Rs. 11,050 per month instead of the mandated Rs. 15,600.
The Telangana Human Rights Commission (TGHRC) has taken cognizance of the complaint and expressed concern over the violation of the right to livelihood and dignity.
The commission has called for a detailed report from the Director of School Education and Ex-Officio State Project Director, Telangana Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (TSSA).
The report is due by January 5, 2026, to address the socio-economic conditions of the complainants.
The commission also seeks the government order under which the complainants are being paid the lower salary.
