US Offers $2,600 Stipend for Illegal Immigrants to Self-Deport
The US government is offering a $2,600 stipend to illegal immigrants who choose to leave the country on their own.
This is called self-deportation.
The government says this is a good deal because it costs less than forcing people to leave.
They can sign up using an app called CBP Home.
More than 2 million people have already chosen to leave this way.
The government also says that if people don't take this offer, they might get arrested and not be able to come back to the US.
The stipend is funded by US taxpayers and might not last forever.
