Father of Ludhiana Man Shot Five Times Demands Arrests
A young man named Harjinder Singh lived in a city called Ludhiana in India.
One night in August, he left home to drop some friends off in his car.
On the way, some men stopped his car and attacked him.
They shot him many times and hurt him badly, and sadly he died.
A video camera nearby recorded what happened, and people were very shocked.
The police arrested two men they think did this, but the family says four other people are still free.
Harjinder's family is very sad and angry.
They are asking the police to catch everyone who was involved before they say goodbye to him.
The family also says the police are wrong about their son having done something bad before.
They want fairness and justice for their loved one.
Harjinder Singh, 25, was shot five times and assaulted with sticks and sharp-edged weapons in Swatantra Nagar, Ludhiana, on the night of August 7.
CCTV footage shows a group of men dragging him from his car and firing multiple rounds at him; his arms and legs were allegedly fractured.
Police arrested Mohit Kumar and Manjeet alias Bobby, recovering a 9mm Glock pistol and a live cartridge; four other accused remain absconding.
The family has refused to cremate Harjinder until all those named in the FIR are arrested.
Father Jawahar Singh disputes police claims of a prior case against his son and suggests the attackers may have actually targeted his friend Sandeep.
