Major fires break out in Kolkata and Dhaka
Two big fires happened in different cities.
One was in a market in Kolkata, India, and the other was in a tall building in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
In Kolkata, the fire started around 1:30 AM and burned down about 40 shops.
Firefighters came with seven big trucks and controlled the fire in two hours.
No one got hurt, but the market is very crowded, which made the fire spread quickly.
The firefighters are still making sure the fire is completely out, and they don't know yet what caused the fire.
In Dhaka, the fire started around 5:37 AM on the ground floor of a 12-story building.
Firefighters rescued 42 people, and 18 firefighting units were deployed.
The building had shops and apartments, and the fire might have started because of scrap clothes stored in the basement.
No one was hurt, but the cause of the fire is still not known.
Both cities have had big fires before, and people are talking about how to make buildings safer.
A fire destroyed nearly 40 shops in Ramgarh market, south Kolkata, early Friday morning.
The blaze started around 1:30 AM and was brought under control in approximately two hours by seven fire tenders.
No injuries were reported, but the congested layout of the market contributed to the rapid spread of the fire.
The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.
In Dhaka, a massive fire broke out early Saturday on the ground floor of a 12-storey mixed-use building, and 42 people were rescued.
