JE and AES Cases Decline in UP Amidst Increased Dengue, Malaria
In Uttar Pradesh, the number of people getting Japanese Encephalitis and Acute Encephalitis Syndrome is going down.
The government started working hard in 2017, like a big team effort, to stop these diseases.
They got different groups to work together, like the health department and others, to clean up areas and teach people how to stay healthy.
The good news is fewer people are getting sick from these diseases.
However, more people have dengue and malaria this year, which the doctors say happens sometimes.
Japanese Encephalitis (JE) cases in Uttar Pradesh have decreased to single digits.
The spread of Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) has also reduced.
Government efforts since 2017 led to a mass movement for disease eradication.
A coordination committee of 17 departments was formed to combat the diseases.
