JLR Targets NATO Markets With New Defender Military Vehicles

JLR Targets NATO Markets With New Defender Military Vehicles

JLR makes Defender vehicles, and it now wants some of them to be used by militaries.

It has created a new defence division for this purpose.

The new Defender Wolf Series II is designed to carry people and equipment.

JLR wants to sell these vehicles to NATO countries and other defence organisations.

It is also competing for a large contract from the UK Ministry of Defence.

Other companies, including General Motors and Ineos Automotive, are competing for the same contract.

JLR is exploring this market because European countries are increasing defence spending.

The plan comes while JLR is also dealing with weaker car sales, higher costs and planned job cuts.
