Pune Polls: 2,703 Nomination Papers Cleared
In Pune, many people wanted to run in the city elections, so officials checked all their papers.
Most papers were okay, but some were not because of mistakes or missing information.
The election will happen on January 15.
In Nagpur, some people who worked for the BJP for a long time were upset because they didn't get to run in the elections.
So, they decided to run by themselves instead of supporting the BJP.
This made some families and friends argue, but they are still going to try to win the election.
Scrutiny of 3,059 nomination papers for PMC elections resulted in 2,703 being cleared and 174 rejected.
The process was delayed in several wards due to objections and hearings.
Common reasons for objections included discrepancies in caste certificates, false affidavits, and non-payment of municipal taxes.
Prominent leaders like Subhash Jagtap, Reshma Anil Bhosale, Nandini Siddharth Dhende, and Avinash Bagwe had their nominations cleared after objections were dismissed.
BJP candidates objected to Shiv Sena (UBT) nominees for missing ‘A’ forms, but the objections were rejected after verification.
