Delhi HC Dismisses PIL for NIA Probe Against CJP Protesters
The Delhi High Court recently decided not to look into a request made by someone who wanted a special investigation into people who protested against the government.
These protesters, led by a group called the Cockroach Janta Party, had a march to the Parliament to ask the government to remove the Education Minister because they believe there was cheating in a big exam and other problems in schools.
During the protest, there was some fighting, and both the protesters and the police got hurt.
The person who made the request thought a special team should investigate, but the court said no because they believe the local police can handle it.
Delhi High Court dismissed a PIL seeking an NIA probe against CJP protesters.
The protest was organized by the Cockroach Janta Party to demand the removal of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
The protest was part of a weeks-long agitation over the NEET-UG paper leak case and alleged irregularities in the education system.
The protest resulted in violence, with injuries reported among both students and Delhi Police personnel.
The court found the matter to be within the jurisdiction of the state police.
