Punjab Cabinet Approves Key Projects Including Medical College
The Punjab Cabinet has approved several important projects.
They have given permission to build a new medical college and hospital in Lehragaga on a large piece of land.
This college will be run by the Jain community and will start with 220 hospital beds and 50 seats for MBBS students, but it will grow to 400 beds and 100 seats in the future.
The Cabinet also extended a policy that gives people more time to pay for their plots of land.
They also decided to lower the prices of some properties and allowed work to clean the Sutlej river to help with building projects.
All these decisions aim to improve education, housing, and infrastructure in Punjab.
Punjab Cabinet approved the allotment of over 19 acres of land at Lehragaga for a new medical college and hospital by the Jain community.
The medical college will initially have 220 hospital beds and 50 MBBS seats, expanding to 400 beds and 100 seats within eight years.
The Cabinet extended the Amnesty Policy 2025 for plot allottees, allowing them to apply again and pay by March 31, 2026.
Prices of various GMADA properties were reduced based on recommendations from independent evaluators.
