Andhra Pradesh to Begin Grain Procurement on November 3
The government in Andhra Pradesh is getting ready to buy grain from farmers.
This will start on November 3 for the upcoming season.
They have set up many places where farmers can bring their grain to sell.
Farmers can even register to sell their grain by sending a message on WhatsApp.
The government wants to make sure farmers get paid quickly, within two days of selling their crops.
They are also making sure that all the supplies needed for buying the grain, like bags and machines to check for moisture, are ready on time.
Andhra Pradesh will begin its grain procurement for the 2025-26 Kharif season on November 3.
The state aims to procure 51 lakh tonnes of grain during this period.
Over 3,000 Rythu Seva Kendras and nearly 2,000 procurement centers have been established statewide.
Farmers can register for procurement by sending a 'HI' message to a designated WhatsApp number.
Payments to farmers are guaranteed within 48 hours of grain purchase, with over 10,500 staff deployed for the operation.
