NHAI launches Tamil Nadu’s first barrier-free tolling system
Tamil Nadu now has its first barrier-free tolling system.
It was launched by the National Highways Authority of India.
The system is at Paranur Toll Plaza.
The plaza is on the Tambaram-Tindivanam section of NH-179B.
It is called Multi-Lane Free Flow, or MLFF.
Cars can pass through without stopping at a toll booth.
Technology identifies each vehicle.
The toll is then collected electronically.
