IIT-Bhubaneswar, ISRO Collaborate on Bay of Bengal Study
Scientists from the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar are working together.
They've made a deal to study how the ocean and coastlines are changing along the Bay of Bengal.
They'll look at the water and how the shorelines are moving.
The study will start from the Sundarbans delta down to northern Andhra Pradesh.
This area is important because the sea is eating away at the land in some places.
They'll study the effect of the wind, tides, and currents.
The goal is to better understand these changes.
ISRO and IIT-Bhubaneswar have formed a partnership.
The partnership is for research and development.
The focus of the partnership is on the Bay of Bengal.
They will study oceanic processes and shoreline change dynamics.
The study area includes the Sundarbans delta to northern Andhra Pradesh.
