Massive Traffic Jam on Hyderabad-Vijayawada Highway
There was a huge traffic jam on the road between Hyderabad and Vijayawada near a place called Abdullapurmet.
Many people were going to their hometowns for a long holiday.
The road was very crowded with cars, buses, and trucks.
Some people were stuck in the traffic for more than an hour.
The road is being made wider, which made the traffic worse because it narrowed the road in some places.
A massive traffic jam was reported on the Hyderabad–Vijayawada highway near Abdullapurmet on Friday.
Vehicular movement slowed to a crawl from the Outer Ring Road (ORR) junction towards Vijayawada.
Long queues of cars, buses, and trucks stretched for several kilometres.
Commuters were stuck in the jam for over an hour in some stretches.
Ongoing road-widening works have narrowed the carriageway, creating bottlenecks.
