Kerala BJP Chief Sends Rs 100 Crore Defamation Notice to News Channel
A leader of the BJP political party in Kerala, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, is very upset with a news channel called Reporter TV.
He believes the channel spread lies about him, saying he was involved in a big, illegal land deal worth a lot of money and was connected to a company called BPL Limited.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar says this is not true at all and that he has no connection to BPL Limited or any illegal land deals.
He feels the news channel has hurt his reputation.
Because of this, he has sent a legal notice to the news channel, demanding they stop spreading these stories, apologize to him publicly, and pay him a large amount of money, 100 crore rupees.
He believes these stories are meant to distract people from other issues and stated he will not let people damage his reputation with fake news.
