Dehradun aids five girls' education
In Dehradun, the local government gave money to five girls to help them go back to school.
These girls couldn't study because their families didn't have enough money.
The project, called 'Nanda-Sunanda', has helped 93 girls so far.
The money comes from the government and is given to girls who need it to continue their education.
This helps them finish their studies and have a better future.
Dehradun administration provided Rs 1.55 lakh in educational assistance to five girls under the 'Nanda-Sunanda' initiative.
The assistance aims to help girls resume their education due to financial difficulties.
The project has helped 93 girls so far, with a total of Rs 33.5 lakh disbursed in 11 editions.
Beneficiaries include Nandini Rajput, whose father passed away in 2018, and Divya, whose father was bedridden after an accident.
The cheques were distributed during a program at the District Collectorate auditorium.
