Jharkhand Aspirants Accuse Government After HC Stays Cancellations

Students in Jharkhand protested alleged cheating, irregularities, and other problems in government recruitment exams.

After 25 or 26 days of protests, the government cancelled 22 examinations and ordered investigations into 23 others.

Some people hired through the 11th and 13th JPSC exams feared losing their jobs.

The Jharkhand High Court temporarily stopped the cancellation of those appointments.

It also stopped the cancellation of food safety officer appointments.

This means the affected employees can keep working while the court considers the petitions.

The court said people found to have cheated could still lose their jobs.

Student leaders say the government did not properly defend its decision and plan more protests.
