Piyush Goyal’s US Visit Targets G20 Trade and Interim Deal

Piyush Goyal is India’s commerce minister.

He will travel to the United States from September 29 to October 5.

He will attend a meeting where trade ministers from G20 countries discuss global trade.

India wants trade rules to be fair, open and centered on the World Trade Organization.

Goyal will also talk with American officials about a proposed trade agreement.

India and the United States have not yet agreed on all parts of the deal.

He will meet American companies and investors to encourage them to work with Indian businesses.

The talks are taking place while the two countries also have concerns about tariffs linked to Russian oil purchases.

The visit is intended to strengthen trade and investment ties.
