GRSE to Build Hybrid Vessels for German Company
Imagine a company in India, GRSE, is building special ships for a company in Germany.
These ships are like big, smart trucks for the sea, designed to carry different kinds of cargo.
They can carry everything from boxes to giant wind turbine blades.
The deal is worth a lot of money, about $62.44 million.
These ships run on a hybrid system, meaning they use batteries to help save fuel and be friendlier to the environment.
They're about 120 meters long and can carry up to 7,500 tons of stuff.
This project is part of GRSE's plan to build more green ships and expand its business internationally.
The first part of the project began in June 2024 and the latest contract was signed in September 2025.
GRSE signed a $62.44 million contract with Carsten Rehder for four hybrid MPVs.
The contract was signed in Hamburg, Germany.
The MPVs will be 120 meters long and have a capacity of 7,500 metric tonnes.
Vessels are designed to handle various cargo, including wind turbine blades.
This marks GRSE’s first major international commercial shipbuilding export order.
